Click for The Story if you care to get more familiar. This is the recipe for refreshing chamomile face mist that I swear by!
Once you’ve made your Chamomile Tea Face Mist you’re all set! You’ve got a lovely ORGANIC skin calming mist to use bbuuttt if you want to take things a step further consider adding essential oils or essential herbs to your mist! 3 of the most popular herbal additions are Lavender (for a calming effect), Rose (for soothing red skin), and Peppermint (for a refreshing effect). To include an herb like any of the three just mentioned simply add 1 teaspoon or 2-3 pinches of the REAL ORAGINIC version of the herb to step 2 of the recipe.
If you don’t want to add herbs consider adding essential oils for a subtle moisturizing and nourishing effect. *NOTE* DO NOT EVER add common over the counter (OTC) essential oils to your facial mist. OTC essential oils are often made of artificial ingredients meant to replicate fragrances or only contain trace amounts of the essential herb they claim to be with large amounts of non-comedogenic fillers.
I care about your face and I want you to win! Here’s the secret, ONLY USE medical grade, food grade, or organic seed oils on your skin and face. To be clear, these are oils derived from the actual herb or plant or it’s seeds and are as pure as they come. The source for herbs should be the plant itself. Think about it, the best olive oil comes from the first press of an olive, unrefined coconut oil means its gone through no bizarre processing to become oil, and the famous skin tonic ‘rosewater’ is simply steeped rose petals. The same can’t be said for many many essential oils found in stores. Its simple go to the source for you essential oil or herb additions.
Where do you buy medical grade, food grade, or organic seed oils? My favorite source is a company called: CocoJoJo Organic The selection of organic oils creams, butters, cosmetics is astounding and I attribute my soft clear skin to my use of CocoJoJo oils in my facial mist + regular consumption of Hibiscus Rose Tea.
If you’re here then you are well on your way to having refreshed skin courtesy of the powerfully calming Chamomile Flower.
